European prisons prepare inmates for the time after their release. However, reintegration into the society is not always successful. This is shown by a high recidivism rate among former inmates. The NEXT STEPS project aims to counteract this. Together with a total of nine operational and strategic project partners, measures are being taken to facilitate the reintegration of ex-prisoners into society.

One of these measures consists of developing this volunteer database for companies, voluntary persons and associations. It provides the opportunity for interested parties to have a specific address for offering or seeking a professional activity. In addition to the programming, the project partners promote the database and maintain the contacts registered in this database in order to build a broad network of different individuals, organizations and companies.
